Collectively discerning God’s guidance as we move forward…

Upcoming Meetings

In these unique days of “adventuring” together, we find ourselves continually struggling with once-effective models for decision making. Older models don’t appear to be nimble enough for us to respond to needs around us during the pandemic. Every time we attempt to nail something down, the pandemic throws us a curve ball, and at other moments God brings opportunity.  The “no secrets….no surprises” church is struggling with steady surprises and perceived secrecy. Now is the time for us to come together and hear God’s voice through prayer, scripture, and one another’s voices.

Missional Emphasis and Building Use during Pandemic

August 17, 2020 | Approximately 40 of us met for the first of a handful of upcoming weekly gatherings, focusing on strategy for missional focus and risk threshold as it relates to the use of God’s facility at the corner of Grove & Meadow.

Risk Threshold & Pandemic covenant

August 26, 2020 | Objective: We’re not all on the same page as it relates to our tolerance for risk and common understanding of what to expect when we participate in church events in the same physical space. We need to be vulnerable and honest with one another in laying out a basic understanding of what someone should expect when they show up to a church event.  Whereas, no decisions will be made at this meeting, we do hope to walk away from the meeting with a better understanding of where folks are on the subject and determine if we think a consensus might be possible in the near future.

The Church-at-Large will need to discern how to proceed with a covenant, related to our physical gatherings this fall, before we launch fall programming.
