Palm Sunday: 3.28.10

The focus of our Palm Sunday Service centers on putting a voice to our faith. Jesus, marching into Jerusalem, will be asked to quiet his disciples.  His response gives us guidance and prepares us for the events of Holy Week.

Lent 5c: 3.21.10

Our worship centers on John 12:1-8.  Mary will anoint the feet of Jesus as he literally prepares to step outside the door and move into the parade of palms.  We are challenged to follow the fragrance onto the streets.

The service concludes with Bread for the Journey for the Miller Family.

Lent 4c: 3.14.10

Our worship service focuses on Luke 15, Parable of the two lost sons. Meade Skelton, The Choir, and two of our teenagers lead in music. Rev. Sterling Severns’ sermon centers on two sons, one being asked by the father to come back through the front door and the other being asked to come back inside through the back door.  There is a celebration taking place….how will you respond?

lent 3c: 3.7.10

Molly Huffstetler and the Chancel Choir lead us in music. The Sermon, preached by Rev. Sterling Severns, focuses on Luke 13:1-9.  Jesus responds to the the question of bad things happening to innocent people.  Dr. John Burgess concludes the service with Communion.

lent 2c: 2.28.10

Our worship service focuses on Luke 13: 31-35.  Jesus laments over Jerusalem and likens himself to a hen gathering her brood under her wings.  The conclusion of the service features a special presentation for Judy Fiske in recognition of her 30th anniversary at Tabernacle Baptist Church
