Our worship centers on Romans 12:1-8. Worship leaders include Bob and Helen Davidson, Rhett and Sarah Kier, Bill Blanton, Bill Finley, and the Pastoral Staff. Rev Severns’ sermon focuses on the Apostle Paul’s word of encouragement to the Church in Rome, “be not conformed, but transformed….”.

Today’s service commences with a selection by our Intergenerational Choir under the direction of Ron Simmons.  Prayers are offered by Judy Fiske and Megan Strollo.  The featured scripture passage, Matthew 15:10-20, is shared by Bill and Eleanor Brown.  Our long time friend and today’s speaker, Dean Miller, gives his take on the pharisee concern with what goes into the mouth…when the real importance should be placed

Our worship service focuses upon Romans 8:26-39. Worship leaders include Alec and Amanda Miller, Phil and Olivia Dawson, Intergenerational and Sanctuary Choirs, and Pastoral Staff Members. Bread for the journey is offered to the Millers and Dawsons and we celebrate the arrival of our newest church member, David Rice.

Our worship service wraps up a wonderful week of Vacation Bible School. The children, their leaders, and parents help facilitate a good portion of the service. We also welcome the Coppage Family back home from Hungary. Rev. Severns’ sermon centers on Romans 8:12-25. The Christian Church is an institution of hope.  The service culminates with four new members joining the fold. We welcome Susan, Foster, Trey, and Jordan with open arms.

Dr. John Burgess’ sermon grapples with Paul’s instruction about the Spirit’s role in our lives. Bread for the journey is offered to Peter Thawngzauk.

Special Music is provided by Megan Strollo and Mae La. Rev. Severns’ sermon, entitled “I despise my own behavior”, focuses on the role of sin in our lives. Jesus picks up the broken pieces of our lives and creates something beautiful. In Christ there is no condemnation.
