Mother’s Day: 5.9.10
Our worship centers on the Mother’s Day celebration. A child is dedicated. Special music is provided by both the Karen and Chin Choirs. One of our teenagers sings a song he composed followed by a powerful duet sung by Helen and Bod Davidson. Later in the service, Helen shares a wonderful testimony about her Mother. The brief sermon focuses on the promise Christ makes to the disciples in anticipation of the spirit’s arrival.
Easter 5c: 5.2.10
Our communion service centers on John 13:31-35 . Be sure to listen to Emily Harry’s powerful testimony, Biak Tling and Tin Par’s duet, and the choir’s communion reflection.
Easter 3c: 4.18.2010
Our worship centers on John 21, often labeled the Epilogue. Seven of the Disciples encounter Jesus on the Beach after he helps them catch 153 fish. Peter finds redemption in the ensuing conversation.
Easter 2c: 4.11.2010
Our worship centers on John 20:19-31, Jesus second resurrection appearance. Jesus will breathe onto the Disciples and urge them to forgive as he has forgiven. His encounter with Thomas marks the beginning multiple personal encounters.
Easter Day: 4.4.10
The Gospel of John’s presentation of Easter Day brings a sharp focus on Jesus Resurrection and Mary’s response. The foot race between “The Beloved Disciple” and Peter offers a sharp contrast to Mary as she holds strong outside the tomb.
We are urged to stop running and avoid clinging.
